Breaking In: The Editor’s Guide to Networking & Career Success is a weekend workshop led by rising industry talent Ivan Kraye, designed to equip aspiring editors with the tools they need to land opportunities and progress in the competitive world of film and TV. 

Through interactive sessions, real-world insights, and practical exercises, you’ll learn how the industry really works—beyond the myths—and develop the soft skills that set top editors apart. Topics include industry workflows, professional communication, client interactions, and the production hierarchy, as well as practical networking techniques that can open doors. You’ll also take part in a networking exercise to help you practice these skills in a supportive environment. 

By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with a clearer understanding of how to position yourself in the industry, make the right connections, and take control of your editing career. Plus, there’s an opportunity to continue networking over drinks at the end of the session.
