CapCut Editing for Filmmakers

This course is designed for filmmakers of all levels to learn what editing in CapCut can do, from mastering the platform’s new AI tools, to special effects and auto-generated subtitles. There’s so much to learn!

You’ll learn how CapCut can be used for all your editing needs. Across the day you’ll get hands-on with real footage, learn the tools that make CapCut stand out from traditional editing software, and leave with a finished edit of your own. Whether you’re new to editing or already comfortable in other software and curious about CapCut’s growing popularity with independent filmmakers, this course will give you the practical skills and confidence to start editing faster and more creatively.

This course is for filmmakers of any experience level who want to learn how to edit short films in CapCut, whether you’re picking up editing for the first time, switching over from another platform, or looking to sharpen your skills with CapCut’s newer AI-powered features. No prior editing experience is required, though participants should come with an idea of a short project they’d like to work on.
