What's included?
What is intimate action? What is the intimacy coordinator role as part of the crew? How can you prep for intimate action? What are nudity & simulated sex riders? What are some safety measures we should consider? These are all questions professional intimacy coordinator Yarit Dor covers in her course at the London Film School.
In the wake of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements Intimacy Coordination has emerged to the front of the professional film and TV scene. Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime, BBC, Sky TV, Channel 4 have been quick to respond by leading the charge to safeguard their sets.
You’ll learn about the role of the Intimacy Coordinator, what they do, how to find/engage them and how to create safe and supportive working environments for actors. You’ll also be introduced to IDI’s pillars of intimacy and how they can be applied from rehearsal through to production.
The Course will have a mix of discussion and practical exercises.
Content Notice: participants will not be practicing intimacy or staging intimacy. However, scripts will have intimate language and videos or photos shown during the session will depict actors in states of nudity and/or performing simulated sexual action.
